BACKGROUND: Tomb Raider
Deep within a vast, sun-scorched Egyptian landscape lies a monumental stone pyramid, hidden for millennia. At its heart sits an ancient idol—the ultimate “holy grail” for treasure hunters and archaeologists alike. However, this relic is more than just gold; it possesses a dark power coveted by those who would use it for global destruction. An elite team of explorers has discovered the site, but a mercenary force is already closing in to seize the prize. You must navigate the shifting sands and weathered ruins to secure the artifact before the tomb becomes your final resting place. This isn’t just a dig; it’s a race against time to ensure the idol doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.
MISSION OBJECTIVES:
The Archaeological Team initiates the mission from the outer perimeter of the desert dig site. Their primary goal is to breach the towering stone pyramid, locate the ancient idol, and successfully extract it to the designated safe zone. Speed and coordination are essential to avoid being pinned down in the open sand. The Mercenary Force starts embedded within the ruins and the shadows of the pyramid. Their sole objective is to defend the tomb at all costs, preventing the explorers from reaching the inner chamber or intercepting the artifact during the extraction phase. A critical strategic element of this zone is the Giant Sphinx. This massive structure provides essential heavy cover for teams moving between the pyramid and the extraction point. Using the Sphinx as a tactical shield is the only way to escape the tomb with the idol intact while under heavy fire. The Tomb Raider mission is played over two intense rounds, allowing each team to switch roles between the daring hunters and the fortified defenders. Players are advised to stock up on paintballs before the match begins, as the wide-open sightlines of the desert landscape often lead to high-intensity firefights where maintaining a constant barrage of covering fire is key to victory.
